CENTRAL UNION PRESCHOOLOur MissionCentral Union Church Preschool and Kindergarten is a Christian-based early childhood program that promotes spiritual, cognitive, socio-emotional and physical growth in a nurturing environment and provides a solid foundation for early learning. Its program of educating the whole child promotes a life-long enthusiasm for learning and provides a smooth transition from home to school. It promotes the value of early childhood education throughout the community and provides for the on-going growth of its faculty and parent community. About Central Union's PreschoolCentral Union Church Preschool and Kindergarten (CUP) has a long and honored tradition in the community. Established in 1928 and located in an urban yet open-air setting at Central Union Church, CUP is one of the largest church-related private preschools in the state of Hawaii. It is a school of exceptional educational quality and is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC). Traditionally, many of the CUP children enroll into larger private elementary schools located in the vicinity of the school. The school serves children between the ages of two years nine months to six years. It has an enrollment of 150 children, with 25 faculty and staff. The schools active PTA organization raises funds that are invested back into the school to fund various PTA sponsored activities and to purchase educational materials to enhance the curriculum.
