Dear Friends:
We are pleased to consider including guest clergy in your wedding ceremony. As host minister, I believe this can add a personal dimension to this joyous and sacred event. The following is the policy followed by the ministers of our church:
A minister from Central Union Church shall be responsible for the ceremony and shall officiate at the wedding.
The Central Union Church minister shall conduct the public portions of the ceremony. These include:
- Welcome of guests and Statement of Purpose
- Giving of the Bride
- Pronouncement and Benediction
- Exchange of Wedding Vows
- Other optional portions of the service
The guest minister is invited to assist in the personal portions of the service. These include:
- Exchange of Rings
- Scripture readings
The traditions and beliefs of Central Union Church shall be followed in all ceremonies.
