The Rev. Dr. David Y. Hirano became Central Union's
Interim Minister on February 1, 2012.
David has been an ordained minister for fifty-two years.
He is an intentional interim minister.
David grew up on Clark Street just Mauka of
Central Union Church.
He went to Roosevelt High School, Wake Forest University, Andover Newton Theological School and
School of Theology at Claremont.
He has been married to Sandra for fifty years.
They have two sons: Peter who lives in Highland Park, Ill, and Scott who is the chaplain at Island Hospice.
They have three grandchildren.
