Gloria did her undergraduate work at Trinity Lutheran College in the Seattle area of Washington, and received
a Master of Divinity Degree from
Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
Marrying a local man is what moved her to Hawaii in 1987.
She is a stepmother to two sons who both live here in the Honolulu area, and grandmother to two.
She initially worked in the insurance industry for many years, and then directed the After School Care program at
Manoa Valley Church for two years before heading to seminary. She joined the CUC staff in 2010.
Gloria was ordained and installed at Central Union
on October 16, 2011.
Gloria’s interests include Hawaiian quilting,
walking her dog named Jade, and traveling to
visit family and friends on the mainland.
A favorite Bible verse: Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs." Matthew 19:14 (NRSV)
