GROW IN YOUR FAITH

The Men's Bible Study meets on Tuesdays at 7 a.m. in the Fireside Room. Join us as we continue our study of the Book of Acts.

The Women's Prayer Group meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 a.m. in the Rewick Board Room.

The Centering Prayer Group meets on Wednesday evenings in the Fireside Room, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.. Come practice this simple method of how to be still and open our hearts to a deeper relationship with God.

Thursday Morning Seminar continues this week with our second "sermon", the Letter to Hebrews. Background reading for this week is Chapers 1-4. Newcomers are always welcome. Alpha Grads Reunion.... Calling all who have taken an Alpha Course — you are invited to attend any of the final sessions of the current Alpha Course meeting Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., May 24 and/or May 31, Makai Room. It doesn't matter how long ago you might have taken your course or if you even completed all the sessions. This is Pastor Ron Ching's last Alpha, and we'll come together to renew knowledge, friendship, fellowship, and laughter and to experience God's unique presence again.

The Artists' Gathering meets on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Women's Building. This is a new opportunity for those of our homeless community to join with interested artists and crafters in our congregation to express their creativity and do artwork together in a spiritual fellowship. We begin each week with a brief devotion drawn from the book series, The Artists' Way. Bring a craft or art project of your choice, and please join us! For further information, contact The Rev. FOR SENIORS...

Senior Center ... Meet Ray and Wish John Good Luck on Tuesday, May 20, at 10:00 am in the Women's Building ...Ray Pratt, the new Coordinator of the Senior Center will engage Senior Center participants in a planning session to determine future plans and activities at the Center. If you have thought about attending, but have not gotten around to it, this is a session that will get you involved.

Tuesday, will also be John Stepulis' last day as Senior Center Coordinator. John has decided to retire from this position in order to concentrate on additional teaching responsibilities. His many talents, abilities and easy going demeanor will be missed by all who have ever attended the various activities orchestrated by John each and every Tuesday in the Women’s Building.

We are having a Thank You/Farewell luncheon for John at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 20th. The entire congregation is welcome to attend and most especially all those who have ever attended a lecture, seminar, dance class, aerobics class, tai chi, etc., etc., that John has so diligently augmented and been watching over.


SENIOR FITNESS...

Join us for Line Dancing with Norman Kunishima, Mondays at 8:30 a.m. (Beginner) and 9:30 a.m. (Beginner mix), in the Women's Building.

Senior Center : Come at 8:00 a.m. to the Parish Hall for aerobics with Skip Ludloff ($2 donation suggested), bring your lunch and plan to stay after the program for card and board games and jigsaw puzzles until 2:00 p.m.

Tai Chi classes continue on Friday, at 9:00 a.m. in the Choir Room, led by expert instructor Mary Nishimoto. Bring an open mind and wear no-skid shoes.
