We will immerse ourselves in the Gospel of Mark,
the earliest of the gospels,
and the one used by the Common Lectionary for this year.
A central resource for discussion will be
The Jewish Annotated New Testament,
a new book which explores the connection between
Old Testament texts and the emerging Christian evangel.
