Christians at Central Union Church embrace lifelong learning and inquiry as one of the cornerstones of our faith and its practice in our daily lives. Our various forums encourage service to God, fellowship with our neighbors and friends, study and worship. This ministry is responsible for organizing and implementing the Learning Tree forum on Sunday mornings.

Learning Tree welcomes The Reverend David B. Turner on March 1; Mr.Arthur Palmer and Suzanne Case on March 8. The remaining Sundays in March will include a report from our travelers to India and a "heavenly" presentation by Bob McLaren.Watch the Spire and bulletin for more information.
Adult Education Ministry meets 3-4 times a year to discuss and plan these options. Your input is invited! If you would be willing to serve in this capacity, or take a turn helping with the set up of the Learning Tree hour itself, please contact Nancy Tudor,Ministry Chair, RogerAbbey, Liaison to Council or Nancy Lockwood, Minister for Adult Education.
Thursday Morning Seminar from 9:45 to 11:15 in the Rewick Board Room. We'll continue with a study of Genesis stories and their meaning for the life of faith. Bring a Bible and join us. Questions? Call Rev. Nancy Lockwood at 440-3010.
The Rev. Dr. Lawrence Corbett will be leading a six week Lenten Class series, "God's Journey with Us," starting on Wednesday evening, February 25, 2009. The series will concentrate on stories from The Bible and the remarkable account of the faith journeys of God's people. This course will provide an opportunity for us to deepen our understanding and the practice of faith by exploring the Bible's core stories. The classes will be on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Fireside Room. The dates are February 25, March 4, 11, 18, 25, and April 1. Please RSVP by Friday, February 20, 2009.
