Mission/Vision Statement
We at Central Union Church, responding to the call to be God's people, envision our church as being at the center of, and a catalyst for, safe and healthy city neighborhoods neighbors that minister to forgotten people, places and causes, neighborhoods that love, nurture and protect all residents, especially those being overlooked.
Who or What is this ministry directed to do?
Partner with neighboring organizations in volunteering for and supporting mission and outreach activities.
Goals
Through faith actions to support and inspire others to help one another.
Ongoing programs
The Banquet at Kaka'ako Park - 125 meals are provided and a worship service is held for the homeless each Thursday evening.
Wednesday Bible Study & Lunch - 40 meals are provided each week at Old Stadium Park.
Next Step Shelter - 200 meals are provided the 2nd Tuesday each month.
Family Promise - Quarterly (for an entire week) 14 in-transition adults and children are hosted (meals and sleeping arrangements) at Central Union Church.
Kau Kau Wagon - 200 meals quarterly are provided to KKW's weekly Saturday lunch outreach in Chinatown.
Prison Ministry, John 17:21 Ministry, White Gifts, UCC Transition House are additional programs we do through Community Ministry.
