The Nominations and Governance Committee is comprised of 5 at-large council members.
The Committee fulfills its responsibilities under the Church’s Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
In the nomination area, the Committee has to recommend qualified candidates for vacant and expiring Officer and Member positions on the Church Council. It begins solicitation from the Congregation at a table on Renewal Sunday. It prepares the required notification of the nominees proposed by the Council.
In the governance area, the Committee reviews and makes recommendations for amendments to the Articles and Bylaws to facilitate more efficient conduct of Congregational Meetings, including adoption of Meeting Rules. It prepares the required notification of the amendments proposed by the Council.
